In this study we will be talking about being a Disciple of Jesus and how being a disciple of Jesus means you take the time to learn about the Kingdom of God and just as important you help someone else be a disciples of Jesus. Most of us say we are disciples, but really we are just people who attend a church.

Discussion Questions:
  1. Explain the difference between religious training and training in righteousness.
  2. What do you think the benefits are in learning to meet a pressing need of others? 
  3. Discuss why learning information on a topic is not enough.
  4. Describe what it looks like to learn to do good.
  5. Why do you think practicing Godly principles brings God’s peace? 
Discussion Questions:
  1. Discuss why God has given mankind the bible.
  2. What do you think it means to worship in spirit and truth?
  3. Describe a time when you experienced or observed the “spirit of wisdom” or the “spirit of revelation”.
  4. How does a student balance the teachings of man with the teachings of the holy spirit in their lives?
  5. ​Give an example of when you believe God taught you on a personal level. How did you confirm the teaching was from God?

Discussion Questions:
  1. Explain why you think believers need to be tested and refined?
  2. Discuss how an attitude of joy influences the outcome of a trial or test.
  3. How should the expectation of testing and suffering influence our preparation for testing and suffering?
  4. Explain the role of Jesus and other Christians when testing and suffering comes?  
Discussion Questions:
  1. What role do you think correction and rebuking play in the learning process?
  2. Give an example of when you believe Jesus chastened you or another person.
  3. What do you believe is the ultimate goal of Jesus disciplining those he loves?
  4. Describe how we can play a role in judging ourselves.

Discussion Questions:
  1. Explain what knowledge a person needs to have to be wise?
  2. What do you think it means to meditate on the Word of God? Give an example.
  3. Discuss the connection between a person who is wise and a person who is continually renewing their mind.
  4. Explain what you believe is a wise practice for a christian.
